Yesterday I wrote that I missed talking to someone about life.
Later that day I met a girl from Pakistan.
She was very open and eloquent.
She rapidly started sharing her perceptions about Japan.
We talked for 15 min, and with that, I felt we connected.
After four years in Japan, she still finds the country difficult for women in particular, and for open minded people in general.
People that want to express their opinion and change things, who don’t want to feel invalidated because of their gender or their position in the social hierarchy.
Like me, she also wants to leave.
